Anti-TNF beta antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target TNF beta is a known alias name of the protein lymphotoxin alpha, encoded by the LTA gene in humans. This 205-amino acid residue protein is a reported cytokine that in its homotrimeric form binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1, TNFRSF1B/TNFBR and TNFRSF14/HVEM. The protein is secreted and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. Other synonyms for TNF beta include LT, TNFB, and TNFSF1. Western Blot is the most common application for the TNF beta antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
