Anti-ALK receptor tyrosine kinase antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ALK in humans. The gene may also be known as CD246, NBLST3, ALK tyrosine kinase receptor, and CD246 antigen. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 176.4 kilodaltons in mass and the ALK antigen is a documented cancer marker. The ALK marker can be used to identify Eccentric Medium Spiny Neurons.* Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
