Anti-Galanin and GMAP prepropeptide antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene GAL in humans. The gene may also be known as Galanin, ETL8, GAL-GMAP, GALN, GLNN, galanin peptides, and galanin prepropeptide. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 13.3 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
