Anti-DNA polymerase eta antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene POLH in humans. The gene may also be known as XPV, polymerase (DNA) eta, RAD30, RAD30A, XP-V, and RAD30 homolog A. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 78.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
