Anti-Fatty acid binding protein 5 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FABP5 in humans. The gene may also be known as EFABP, E-FABP, KFABP, PA-FABP, epidermal-type fatty acid-binding protein, and fatty acid binding protein 5 (psoriasis-associated). Structurally, the protein is reported to be 15.2 kilodaltons in mass. The FABP5 marker can be used to identify Lymphatic Vessel Endothelial Cells.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
