Anti-CYB5R2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cytochrome b5 reductase 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 276 amino acid residues and a mass of 31.5 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis, hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and caudate. It is a member of the Flavoprotein pyridine nucleotide cytochrome reductase protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include NADH-cytochrome b5 reductase 2, cytochrome b5 reductase b5R.2, and B5R.2. CYB5R2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. These CYB5R2 antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
