Anti-ARF5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ADP ribosylation factor 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 180 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and cytoplasm. A member of the Arf protein family, ARF5 is known to be a GTP-binding protein involved in protein trafficking; may modulate vesicle budding and uncoating within the Golgi apparatus. ARF5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ARF5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
