Anti-TMEM126B antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein transmembrane protein 126B. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 230 amino acid residues and a mass of 25.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the TMEM126 protein family. The TMEM126B gene has been associated with the disease, Mitochondrial complex I deficiency. Synonyms for this target antigen include complex I assembly factor TMEM126B, mitochondrial. TMEM126B gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. These TMEM126B antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
