Anti-calmodulin like 4 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CALML4 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 196 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.9 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 5 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in breast cancer cell lines. It is a member of the Calmodulin protein family. Other names for this target antigen include calmodulin-like protein 4 and serologically defined breast cancer antigen NY-BR-20. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some calmodulin like 4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
