Anti-Interferon induced transmembrane protein 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IFITM1 in humans. The gene may also be known as CD225, LEU13, 43735, DSPA2a, IFI17, and dispanin subfamily A member 2a. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 14 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
