Anti-FAK1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The FAK1 antigen is another term for the human protein protein tyrosine kinase 2, encoded by the PTK2 gene. The protein is known to function in angiogenesis and axon guidance, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1052 residues and a mass of 119.2 kilodaltons. and it is notably expressed in B and T-lymphocytes. The FAK1 protein is a member of the Tyr protein kinase protein family. Other alias names for FAK1 include FADK, FADK 1, and FAK. Some FAK1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
