Anti-Interferon induced protein with tetratricopeptide repeats 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene IFIT1 in humans. The gene may also be known as IFI-56K, ISG56, C56, G10P1, IFI-56, IFI-56K, and interferon, alpha-inducible protein (MW 56kD). Structurally, the protein is reported to be 55.4 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
