Anti-ABCE1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ATP binding cassette subfamily E member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 599 amino acid residues and a mass of 67.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and cytoplasm. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the ABCE protein family. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include OABP, RLI, RLI1, RNASEL1, RNASELI, RNS4I, 2'-5'-oligoadenylate-binding protein, and ABC38. ABCE1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ABCE1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
