Anti-Notch 3 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Notch 3 is a known alias name of the protein notch receptor 3, encoded by the NOTCH3 gene in humans. This 2321-amino acid residue protein is known to function as a receptor for membrane-bound ligands Jagged1, Jagged2 and Delta1 to regulate cell-fate determination. It is localized to the nucleus and cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated, cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for Notch 3 include CADASIL, CADASIL1, and CASIL. A number of Notch 3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
