Anti-AT1R antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The AT1R antigen is another term for the human protein angiotensin II receptor type 1, encoded by the AGTR1 gene. The protein is a known receptor for angiotensin II, a vasoconstricting peptide, which acts as a key regulator of blood pressure and sodium retention by the kidney. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 359 residues and a mass of 41.1 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is expressed in adipose tissue and cerebral cortex. The AT1R protein is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family. Other alias names for AT1R include AG2S, AGTR1B, and AT1.
