Anti-SYT antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the SYT antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SS18 gene, which encodes SS18 subunit of BAF chromatin remodeling complex. This protein is known to function in chromatin remodeling and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological roles. The human version of SYT has a canonical amino acid length of 418 residues and a protein mass of 45.9 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the colon and gallbladder. SYT is a member of the SS18 protein family. SYT is also used as a cellular marker for characterizing neuronal cells. Indicated applications for SYT antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
