Anti-Hepsin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene HPN in humans. The Hepsin protein has a reported amino acid length of 417 and an expected mass of 45 kDa. The protein may also be known as TMPRSS1, serine protease hepsin, and testicular tissue protein Li 85. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
