Anti-MTIF3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial translational initiation factor 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 278 amino acid residues and a mass of 31.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the IF-3 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include translation initiation factor IF-3, mitochondrial and IF-3(Mt). MTIF3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of MTIF3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
