Anti-HS1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HS1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HCLS1 gene, which encodes hematopoietic cell-specific Lyn substrate 1. This protein is known to function in cytokine-mediated signaling pathways and erythrocyte differentiation, among other biological roles. The human version of HS1 has a canonical amino acid length of 486 residues and a protein mass of 54 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the skin, lymph node, lung, bone marrow, and appendix.
