Anti-HS6ST3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein heparan sulfate 6-O-sulfotransferase 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 471 amino acid residues and a mass of 54.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. A member of the Sulfotransferase 6 protein family, Hs6st3 is reported to be a 6-O-sulfation enzyme, which catalyzes the transfer of sulfate from 3'-phosphoadenosine 5'-phosphosulfate (PAPS) to position 6 of the N-sulfoglucosamine residue (GlcNS) of heparan sulfate. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. HS6ST3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the Hs6st3 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
