Anti-HOXC4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein homeobox C4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 264 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the Antp homeobox protein family, HOXC4 is known to be involved with cartilage development and the regulation of transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include HOX3E, cp19, homeobox protein Hox-C4, homeo box 3E, homeobox protein CP19, homeobox protein Hox-3E, and HOX3. HOXC4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some Hoxc4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
