Anti-Adaptor related protein complex 1 subunit sigma 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene AP1S1 in humans. The gene may also be known as AP19, CLAPS1, EKV3, MEDNIK, AP-1 complex subunit sigma-1A, and HA1 19 kDa subunit. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 18.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
