Anti-PFDN6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein prefoldin subunit 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 129 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.6 kDa. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Prefoldin subunit beta protein family, PFDN6 is known to bind specifically to cytosolic chaperonin (c-CPN) and transfers target proteins to it. Synonyms for this target antigen include HKE2, KE-2, PFD6, HLA class II region expressed gene KE2, KE2 protein, and H2-KE2. PFDN6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PFDN6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
