Anti-NKEFB antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The NKEFB antigen is another term for the human protein peroxiredoxin 2, encoded by the PRDX2 gene. The protein is reported to be a thiol-specific peroxidase that catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen peroxide and organic hydroperoxides to water and alcohols, respectively. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 198 residues and a mass of 21.9 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The NKEFB protein is a member of the Peroxiredoxin protein family. Other alias names for NKEFB include HEL-S-2a. Western Blot is the most common application for the NKEFB antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
