Anti-USP26 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ubiquitin specific peptidase 26. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 913 amino acid residues and a mass of 104 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably expressed in the testis. A member of the Peptidase C19 protein family, USP26 is reported to be involved in ubiquitin-dependent proteolytic pathway in conjunction with the 26S proteasome (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include deubiquitinating enzyme 26, ubiquitin specific protease 26, ubiquitin thioesterase 26, ubiquitin thiolesterase 26, ubiquitin-specific processing protease 26, and ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 26. USP26 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. A number of USP26 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
