The VSV-g tag is short 11-peptide epitope that is commonly engineered onto the N- or C- terminus of a protein of interest. It originates from the vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV) glycoprotein and contains the sequence YTDIEMNRLGK. Antibodies that target the the VSV-g epitope may be a useful tool in immunological investigations of VSV-g-tagged proteins.
