Anti-CFAP61 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cilia and flagella associated protein 61. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1237 amino acid residues and a mass of 141.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis, nasopharynx, fallopian tube, and bronchus. CFAP61 is believed to regulate cilium motility through its role in the assembly of the axonemal radial spokes. Synonyms for this target antigen include CaM-IP3, dJ1002M8.3, dJ1178H5.4, and C20orf26. CFAP61 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CFAP61 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
