Anti-Stub1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein STIP1 homology and U-box containing protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 303 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in differentiated myotubes. Among its functions, STUB1 is involved with the cellular response to hypoxia and autophagy pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including ubiquitination. Synonyms for this target antigen include HSPABP2, NY-CO-7, SCA48, SCAR16, SDCCAG7, UBOX1, E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase CHIP, and CHIP.
