Anti-MATN4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein matrilin 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 622 amino acid residues and a mass of 68.5 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. MATN4 is reported to be a major component of the extracellular matrix of cartilage. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. MATN4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some matn4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
