Anti-APOBEC1 complementation factor antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene A1CF in humans. The gene may also be known as ACF, ACF64, ACF65, APOBEC1CF, APOBEC-1 stimulating protein, and apo-B RNA editing protein. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 65.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
