Anti-WTX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the WTX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the AMER1 gene, which encodes APC membrane recruitment protein 1. This protein is known to function in adipose tissue development and bone development, among other biological roles. The human version of WTX has a canonical amino acid length of 1135 residues and a protein mass of 124 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, nucleus, and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. WTX is a member of the Amer protein family.
