Anti-RPL3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ribosomal protein L3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 403 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. A member of the Universal ribosomal protein uL3 protein family, RPL3 is a known component of the large ribosomal subunit. Post-translational modifications have been described, including methylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include L3, uL3, 60S ribosomal protein L3, HIV-1 TAR RNA-binding protein B, and ASC-1. RPL3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RPL3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
