Anti-IFNA6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein interferon alpha 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 189 amino acid residues and a mass of 22.1 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. A member of the Alpha/beta interferon protein family, IFNA6 is known to be involved with adaptive immune responses and B cell differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include IFN-alpha-6, interferon alpha-54, interferon alpha-K, leIF K, and IFN-alphaK. IFNA6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Over 110 citations in the literature describe the use of IFNA6 antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
