Anti-SC-35 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SC-35 is a known alias name of the protein serine and arginine rich splicing factor 2, encoded by the SRSF2 gene in humans. This 221-amino acid residue protein is known to be important for the splicing of pre-mRNA. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types.
