Anti-KOX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the KOX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NOX4 gene, which encodes NADPH oxidase 4. This protein is known to function in cardiac muscle cell differentiation and carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of KOX has a canonical amino acid length of 578 residues and a protein mass of 66.9 kilodaltons, although 9 isoforms have been identified.
