Anti-CCAAT enhancer binding protein alpha antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene CEBPA in humans. The gene may also be known as CCAAT/enhancer binding protein (C/EBP), alpha, CCAAT/enhancer binding protein alpha, and C/EBP-alpha. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 37.6 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
