Anti-Fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene FGFR2 in humans. The gene may also be known as BEK, CD332, ECT1, KGFR, K-sam, and BBDS. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 92 kilodaltons in mass. The FGFR2 marker can be used to identify Perichondrial Fibroblasts.* Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
