Anti-NEM1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NEM1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TPM3 gene, which encodes tropomyosin 3. This protein is known to function in muscle contraction, among other biological roles. The human version of NEM1 has a canonical amino acid length of 285 residues and a protein mass of 33 kilodaltons, although 7 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. NEM1 is a member of the Tropomyosin protein family.
