Anti-Arginase II antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Arginase II is a known alias name of the protein arginase 2, encoded by the ARG2 gene in humans. This 354-amino acid residue protein is believed to play a role in the regulation of extra-urea cycle arginine metabolism and also in down-regulation of nitric oxide synthesis. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the kidney and parathyroid gland. Other synonyms for Arginase II include arginase-2, mitochondrial, L-arginine amidinohydrolase, and L-arginine ureahydrolase. Western Blot is the most common application for the Arginase II antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
