Anti-MPPED1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein metallophosphoesterase domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 326 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.2 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in adult brain. A member of the UPF0046 protein family, MPPED1 is believed to have metallophosphoesterase activity (in vitro). Synonyms for this target antigen include C22orf1, FAM1A, metallophosphoesterase domain-containing protein 1, adult brain protein 239, and 239AB. MPPED1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the MPPED1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
