Anti-PPM1D antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protein phosphatase, Mg2+/Mn2+ dependent 1D. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 605 amino acid residues and a mass of 66.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in fetal and adult brain. A member of the PP2C protein family, PPM1D is reported to be involved in negative regulation of p53 expression. The PPM1D gene has been associated with the disease, Jansen-de Vries syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include JDVS, PP2C-DELTA, WIP1, protein phosphatase 1D, protein phosphatase Wip1, and IDDGIP. PPM1D gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of PPM1D antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
