Anti-PR61alpha antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PR61alpha antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PPP2R5A gene, which encodes protein phosphatase 2 regulatory subunit B'alpha. This protein is known to function in protein dephosphorylation and signal transduction pathways, among other biological roles. The human version of PR61alpha has a canonical amino acid length of 486 residues and a protein mass of 56.2 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include B56A, B56alpha, and PR61A. Western Blot is the most common application for the PR61alpha antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
