Anti-Caspase 10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CASP10 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 521 amino acid residues and a mass of 59 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 7 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the Peptidase C14A protein family, it is reported to be involved in activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. Post-translational modifications have been described, including protein cleavage. Other names for this target antigen include FLICE-2, FLICE2, MCH4, FADD-like ICE2, FAS-associated death domain protein interleukin-1B-converting enzyme 2, and ALPS2.
