The WNT signaling pathway is essential for embryonic development and adult tissue homeostasis, and its dysregulation drives cancers of the stomach, intestine, and breast, among others. My research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of oncogenic WNT signal transduction, with the goal of identifying therapeutic targets in colorectal cancer. In my lab, I use Nalgene Rapid-Flow 250 mL filter units with a 0.45 µm PES membrane to filter solutions at the bench.

Results Summary

I used the Nalgene Rapid-Flow 250 mL PES filter units to filter buffers at the bench, typically in volumes of 100-250 mL. Filtration under vacuum was fast and consistent, and the filtered solutions were clear and particle-free. The graduated funnel and receiver made it easy to measure volumes, and the threaded receiver cap meant I could store filtered solutions directly in the receiver.
