Product Name:

Anti-Mitochondria Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [113-1]

Catalog Number:

ab92824

Clone Number:

113-1

We work on using stem cells to model and treat rare diseases. This antibody has been utilized to stain mitochondria across various differentiated cell types including neural cells and hepatocytes. Overall, it provides clear specific staining and colocalizes with other mitochondrial markers.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Immunofluorescence

Sample

Human differentiated hepatocytes

Primary Incubation

Diluted 1:200 in IF buffer (1X PBS+ 5% Normal Donkey Serum+0.3% Triton X-100) for 1hr at room temperature

Blocking Agent

IF buffer (1X PBS+ 5% Normal Donkey Serum+0.3% Triton X-100) for 1hr at room temperature

Secondary Incubation

Rb. Cy3 IgG (Jackson Immunoresearch) 1:500 in IF buffer (1X PBS+ 5% Normal Donkey Serum+0.3% Triton X-100) for 1hr at room temperature

Tertiary Incubation

Hoescht 1:10,000 in 1X PBS for 5mins at room temperature

Detection

Imaged on EVOS Fl Auto at 40x magnification

Results Summary

Metabolic disorder patient-derived iPSCs were differentiated into hepatocytes and stained with the antibody to analyze mitochondrial morphological changes. The antibody clearly visualized the mitochondria and morphology, with the attached image demonstrating spindly mitochondria in control cells.
