Company:

Illumina

Product Name:

MiSeq Reagent Kits v2

Catalog Number:

15036714

I use these v2 reagent kits on the MiSeq to run small- to mid-scale sequencing projects where a full high-throughput flow cell would be overkill.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Next-generation sequencing on the MiSeq System

Starting Material

Prepared, quantified, and normalized sequencing library

Tips

The cartridges are pre-filled and RFID-encoded, so there's essentially no reagent prep and the instrument checks compatibility for you. Pick the format to match your project: Nano (~1M reads) for QC/pilot runs, Micro (~4M), or standard (12–15M single / 24–30M paired-end).

Results Summary

Delivered consistent output within spec (up to 8.5 Gb and ~15M reads for the standard 500-cycle kit) with reliable quality scores, giving clean paired-end data suitable for variant calling and amplicon analysis.
