The Good
Very affordable, with reliably adequate RNA yields and a straightforward protocol.
The Bad
Purity is inconsistent: A260/A230 ratios were often low. Hands-on time also adds up across many samples, especially with the extra wash step I recommend.
The Bottom Line
A budget-friendly kit with decent yields, well suited when your downstream application tolerates some contamination. Be aware the protocol takes time, and if you need consistently high-purity RNA with a faster workflow, a higher-purity kit may serve you better.
