Product Name:

Human Neurogranin ELISA kit

Catalog Number:

LS-F33235

The ELISA kit for human neurogranin is intended for samples such as plasma, serum, and tissue homogenates. However, we used the kit for exosomes in solution (derived from human plasma), and the performance was good. The only adjustment made was the absence of the higher concentration in the curve (5000pg/mL), which I omitted as it was thought not necessary for exosomes (hardly will get that concentration). The kit is easy to optimize, and consistent with a range of different sample preparation.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

ELISA (protein concentration)

Starting Material

Human Plasma; Total Exosomes; and brain-derived Exosomes

Tips

The kit seems to be suitable for different types of samples.

Results Summary

I used the kit to test the neurogranin concentration in exosomes derived from Human plasma, at different ages. At the same time, I tested with some immunopurified samples (neuronal-derived exosomes, such as those NCAM+) and test their neurogranin concentration. The results were consistent across my samples and were aligned with the literature in the topic. It seems that aging affects neurogranin concentration in exosomes in a negative correlation (as age increase, neurogranin concentration decrease in plasma).

Summary

The Good

Reliable, has a good signal, consistent and easy to use.

The Bad

None.

The Bottom Line

Exceeded my expectations, once were suitable and reliable for samples such exosomes.
