NPAS3 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix PAS domain class of transcription factors expressed in the brain. NPAS3 is a replicated genetic risk factor for psychiatric disorders. A knockout mouse model exhibits behavioral and adult neurogenesis deficits consistent with human illness. We used the NPAS3 Abs to perform ICC in primary astrocyte cell cultures to validate the KO model.

We used these NPAS3 Abs for validation our NPAS3 KO mouse model. We performed ICC with primary astrocyte cells cultures isolated from newborn pups. - We didn’t see the specific nucleus staining with anti-NPAS3 Abs;- We didn’t see the difference in staining between different genotypes.
Unspecific staining.
