Our lab research focuses on neurodegeneration in glaucoma. The specific goal of the project is to assess retinal ganglion cell damage in the context of optic nerve damage. This antibody worked great as a specific marker for mouse retinal ganglion cells.
Immunofluorescence
Mouse retina
1:500 for 3 days at room temp.
5% normal donkey serum.
Alexa fluor anti-rabbit IgG at 1:500 for overnight at room temp.
Fluorescence
This antibody worked well as a tool to assess retinal ganglion cell survival after optic nerve injury. RBPMS is well known as a retinal ganglion cell specific marker, allowing quantification of RGC loss. This antibody showed little background and high specificity when used for mouse flat mounted retina.
